What a absolutely beautiful house it could be brought back to its former glory . Such a shame it's to be pulled down . Was this built by the same architect as the limestone house at the corner of St. James Court in Louisville?? I've got to say, this video angered me a bit. How much might it have cost for tar paper or even blue tarps if the owners could not have afforded a roof????? How did anyone expect to move bins of water that weigh about 300 pounds each?? This is a sinful waste of art and history. Stupidity.

You did a great job with this Chris. Really such a sad thing for a house like that to be demolished. This very week I am buying a house that was built in 1906 to finish renovating. Hopefully it won't bankrupt me in the process. Not quite the mansion this one is through. I kept thinking how I would have loved to have gotten some of the mantles and the fireplace covers, but even though it was being torn down, it would have felt sacrilegious somehow. Dishonoring the house as well as myself. Thanks for showing us this and preserving the memory.

I would love to know more about the area I live in. North Mercer County, KY in the Talmage-Mayo , Terrapin , McAfee, Salvisa area. I have been told of civil war hospitals , soldier trails , Indian mounds , caves and all sorts of other things that transpired long ago.
